This blog has a few purposes (a huge amount of effort was spent not typing porpoises for some reason 🙂 )
- Its an excuse for me to take lots of photos of miniatures. Generally speaking I’m the only person who sees the results of my painting and rather than bombard my Facebook with hundreds of miniature pictures I can use this as a sort of photo gallery.
- And hopefully get better at photographing miniatures. I am very much a hobbyist photographer. I did study photography at college many years ago, back in the day before digital photography but I have more or less forgotten all of it and we concentrated on black and white as that is cheaper to develop and print by hand. I love macro photography and dabble in it from time to time finding the weird and wonderful that is only revealed by close up photography.
2. Paint lots of minis (and hopefully get better at painting minis)
3. Write about the games I like and the hobby in general. I hope to be covering a range of games and maybe adding a few very basic tutorials.
4. Making/creating stuff is good for my mental health which needs a bit of help now and then.
If anyone else enjoys the content that would be a huge bonus. I am an old fart who enjoys playing table top games with miniatures and painting toy soldiers.
